The Toronto
Youth Network links youth workers
for encouragement, spiritual growth and sharing
resources in order to expose every teenager
to the gospel of Jesus Christ, establish them
in a local church, and disciple them to help
reach the world. |
OUR CORE VALUES
|
| |
EVERY ENVIRONMENT
|
| Youth ministry must be oriented to the
students' world: the campus, home, church and
community. By staying ethnically and
culturally relevant, we can better discern their
real needs, address current issues, and develop
a relationally effective ministry to both believers
and non-believers. |
| |
INTENTIONAL EVANGELISM
|
| We are intentional in evangelism. We
must share the message of God’s love through
Jesus Christ with students, before the world captures,
and then controls their hearts, minds, and actions.
Therefore, we seek to develop and implement strategies
to help reach every adolescent in every community. |
| |
LOCAL CHURCH
|
| The church is God's primary agency for
building His Kingdom. We want every
student to be part of a local church that provides
a youth ministry to help students grow and serve
Christ. |
| |
STUDENT LEADERSHIP
|
| Preparing students for leadership and
influence is a priority. Because youth
are so greatly influenced by their peers, we
believe we must encourage, empower and equip
them in order to reach the maximum number of
students, most effectively. |
| |
SPIRITUAL MULTIPLICATION
|
| Spiritual multiplication is the biblical pattern
for fulfilling the Great Commission. Therefore,
we seek to develop fully devoted followers of Christ
who will do the same with others. |
| |
STRATEGIC PLANNING
|
| Youth ministry must
accomplish long-range biblical goals. Therefore,
to sustain an intentional, long-term ministry
to youth and youth workers we seek to avoid
superficial programs that are ends in themselves. |
